Amazing
amazing, you amaze me
again and again
and you’re giving and taking
again and again
oh but you're bruised, broken
right to the bone
drowning in your own
the tide, brings you alone
where you are? where you going?
your words rain down on me
where you been? are you leaving?
how much should i believe?
fearless, you're fearless
again and again
and you're wounded, aching
again and again
oh but your eyes, still shine
when you’re alone
yellow crashing down
your fight is all your own
where you are? where you going?
your words rain down on me
where you been? are you leaving?
how much should i believe?
picking up pieces
peel off the bandage
again and again
and i’m picking up pieces
shattered beginnings
again and again
oh but you're bruised, broken
right to the bone
drowning in your own
the tide brings you alone
where you are? where you going?
your words rain down on me
where you been? are you leaving?
how much should i believe?
where you are? where you going?
push away all the pain
where you been? are you leaving?
how much should i believe?

written with van as well.
this one was written in yet another hotel room on an enrique tour stop in l.a.
it's such a sad story. a broken man who can't help but be who he is. somehow, he still is amazing.
when we were recording this at pete min's awesome studio, richard fortus added a whole new life to it. that guitar at the front is everything.
